系統(tǒng)功能靈活，適合多種突變檢測方法
 
在癌癥研究發(fā)展及多種單基因或多基因疾病的研究過程中，探索未知突變起著非常重要的作用。DNA 多態(tài)性 是物種的生態(tài)與進(jìn)化研究非常有用的工具。應(yīng)用范圍包括物種鑒定、種群結(jié)構(gòu)分析及遺傳多樣性研究等。
DCode 系統(tǒng)由帶溫度控制模塊（包括微處理器控制加熱）的電泳設(shè)備、一個緩沖液再循環(huán)泵、一個攪拌器及鋪制特殊應(yīng)用凝膠的附件組成。冷卻槽及一個外部實驗室冷卻器可把運行溫度控制在室溫下。一塊凝膠能在2 個小 時內(nèi)運行64 個樣品，并提供5-70°C 范圍內(nèi)的精確溫度控制。它可與下列的電泳技術(shù)配合使用來檢測單堿基變化：
單鏈構(gòu)象多態(tài)性（SSCP）
變性梯度凝膠電泳（DGGE）
時間溫度梯度電泳（TTGE）
均一變性凝膠電泳（CDGE）
